Brothers Finlay and Harvey Southcoat represented Kingston upon Hull Athletic Club at the recent open cross country meeting in Graves Park, Sheffield. Older brother Harvey is 12 years old and he too had a good track & field season in 2016 where he qualified for three finals at the County Championship meeting, running in the 100 metres 200 metres and 800 metres. He also made his debut for the Kingston junior team in the UK Youth development league where he was in action in three of the matches representing the club in the 100 metres sprint race and the 800 metres.

The Sheffield cross country meeting saw him competing in the under 13 boys 3 kilometre race where his run of 13:00s saw him take an 11th place finish.
